EVENTS

The events below are from the hardcover publication tour. Please check back in 2016 for news on the paperback release!

3/18

Chapter 2 Books, Hudson, WI 6:00 pm

What a wonderful way to start the publication! With relatives from both my grandfather's and grandmother's side, plus my best friend from highschool, and my sister, it was an event to remember. Chapter 2 Books is a lovely store in a booming Wisconsin town. If you're ever in the area, please do stop in!

226 Locust Street, Hudson, WI 54106 715-2208818

3/19

Magers &Quinn, Minneapolis, MN 7:00 pm

At Magers & Quinn, my other bff from highschool showed up, plus great friends from college, and more cherished relatives. The best though was the parents of friends who came to show their support! All set in a fabulous bookstore with a huge heart.

3030 Hennepin Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN 612-822-4611

3/20

Barnes & Noble, Fargo, ND 7:00 pm

Yet more classmates, my mother, more friends' mothers, and complete strangers attended this reading. Best of all, though, was when I talked about why I used my second grade teacher's name in the novel, a woman in the audience shouted, "What about your fourth grade teacher?" Mrs. Schradick, the teacher who first taught me to love books, drove up from Whapeton, ND just to see me! It was an exhillarating moment.

3/21

Sweets 'N Stories, Oakes, ND 12:00-2:00pm

I love this little fudge and book store that also serves a really delicious taco salad, among other offerings. I got to catch up with great relatives, visit with strangers, and even met a woman who had already read the book and was buying more copies for her friends to read!

509 Main Ave, Oakes, North Dakota 701-742-2007

3/21

Centerfield Bar & Grill, LaMoure, ND 6:00 pm

Despite the fact that the home town team was playing for 3rd place in the State Boys B Basketball Tournament, we had a sell-out crowd! I was so honored and humbled to be bringing my book home to the people who have always been there for me. It was a truly perfect evening.

3/22

Zandbroz Variety, Fargo, ND 2:00-5:00pm

If you are ever in Fargo, this is a must stop. I am still spinning from how utterly perfect this event turned out to be. My favorite moment was being asked by a woman from Arthur, ND (which features in the story) whether I had ever been out to the "Barn" that's in the book. When I said no, she promised to throw me a party when I finally make it out there! That is Midwestern Hospitality in action. Thanks a million to Greg, Renee, and Josie Danz--the hosts with the most.

420 Broadway, Fargo, ND 701-239-4729

3/29

KGB Bar, New York City, NY 7:00 pm

Truly fun reading with Shari Goldhagen, the author of the novels IN SOME OTHER WORLD, MAYBE and FAMILY AND OTHER ACCIDENTS. I got to read a very dramatic piece, to go along with the lush feel of that great room.

4/07

Just the thought of reading at Book Passage makes me smile. Such a jewel of a store, with a wonderful location, and so many friends and family within travelling distance. I can't wait for this event!
